The California Lightworks SolarXtreme 500 is an easy to use, compact, full spectrum LED grow light designed especially for grow tents and small-scale home growing. The cost is further reduced by using a brand-new generation of COB (chip on board) LEDs in combination with new direct AC drive technology, which eliminates the need for LED drivers. If you don't need those features, why pay for them? The SolarXtreme series sells for much less, because it eliminated those extras. Check out the SolarSystem series instead.
If you want any of those features, this is not the light for you. You can't program the spectrum or control many fixtures from one remote or use it in a greenhouse.
